Section B: Introduction 

Your academic performance is assessed by means of your classroom  participation, formative assessments, and summative assessments in this  module.  

This is the only summative assessment in this module. The assessment is  developed with the aim of testing the module’s learning outcomes. Formative  assessment takes place in tutorial or workshop sessions through learning  activities that support development of this summative assessment. Students are  required to reflect the classroom discussion, case studies and examples from  industry to get a better score. 

Section C: Assessment Strategy 

The assessment includes 3 parts: 

Part 1– Students are required to research well-known organisations and the  business/ economic environment in which they operate, and apply business/  economic principles and analysis within chosen sector/s. 

Part 2– Students are required to answer three questions from this part. 

Part 3– Students will also be assessed on the basis of their participation in  classroom activities like simulations, formative assessments, and case study  analysis.  

Section D: Assessment submission 

Assessment question paper will be handed to students 4 weeks prior to the  submission. The deadline to submit the assessment will be finalised by the RTE  department.
